We did, but didn't.

Dear Blog World,

Sometimes everything we do isn't always used. But just because it was not used does not mean that it was a bad design. A few months ago we were asked to create a few mock-ups (as well as a slew of other design firms) for Mission of Mercy, an organization closely associated with Compassion International (if you do not know about them, you need to educate yourself). Even though our design was not picked to go forward with at this time, we still think we did a good job at representing such a stellar organization. Yes, we would love to have headed up their new site and design, but sometimes things don't always work out how you want them to.

And we are fine with that.

Hello, Brad Etchberger.

Tax season is quickly approaching ... but that's OK, Brad Etchberger is here.

Yesterday Cross & Crown released BradEtchberger.com after two weeks of designing and coding his full site. Brad has over 20 years of experience in income tax preparation, payroll services, bookkeeping and accounting (and more, but we'll let you go to his site and see what else he does). It was fun working with Brad in getting his website designed from scratch, developed into code, and uploaded to the live web. Go check it out.

As for us, we are currently working on brand new projects ... so stay tuned.

Sonshine Festival Launch

Cross & Crown proudly announces the launch of the Sonshine Festival website! Hailing from the North Star State (Willmar, MN), the festival attracts thousands of people for four days of fun, concerts and speaking. The festival goes from July 15-18 and boasts 5 stages featuring recording artists Newsboys, Family Force 5, Red, Tobymac and a ton more. We were excited to work with them on their website this year, so go check it out!

This is our third major festival site launch this year, and we are tentatively working on some other festivals and events.

In other news, there are 21 days left until Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. We have a lot to be thankful for; family, friends, our jobs and so much more. We encourage you all to have a fun, safe holiday. Don't eat too much turkey either.

Welcome Our Intern!

Cross & Crown would like to welcome our newest, brightest, friendliest intern ever, Joel. It so happens that we also have two additional employees named "Joel", so if you thought two "Joel" people were confusing, you're in for a treat now.

He hails from Columbia, MD and is wrapping up his college career at Shepherd University. He enjoys drawing with crayons and chugging coffee. Joel just discovered the joys of VHS and spends quality time with his wife watching films. Joel looks forward to learning new and exciting things and takes pride in his collection of German markers.

Be sure to stop in, grab some coffee, and say hello to the new Joel (or who we call "#3").

iPhone Wallpapers

Happy Monday!

So who has an iPhone? In the media section of the Lifest website we launched last week, we created custom wallpapers for iPhones. Well, we thought it was such a good idea that we should make custom backgrounds for Cross & Crown! (We have iPhones here at the office, so it is a bit more exciting for us). You can see the JPGs listed above - just click on the one you like and download it to your desktop!

On Friday of last week we received some new projects to start developing, which includes a website for PB Services, a logo/identity package for Uprise Festival (brand new!), book cover art for author Kamran Yaraei and a few other logo and web projects!
